We all know and understand what SEO is and how gaining ranks in the search engines effect our bottom dollar. But, many people skip over the second largest search engine in the World because they see it as a form of entertainment or for the kids, instead of the mega giant that it is. Of Course we are talking about YouTube. Google is the number one largest search engine in the World that pulls in about 1.1 Billion unique monthly visitors. YouTube, also owned by Google, is the second largest search engine in the World and brings in approx. 1 Billion viewers and produced an estimated 4 Billion dollars last year.
So even though these are numbers worthy of any business big or small, only 9% of U.S, based small businesses currently use YouTube. So while traditional SEO and is the focus of business owners to drive viewers to their websites, blogs, and social media, it is foolish to ignore the truth of video SEO and YouTube rankings.
